8 things that you should know about cat beds before you go choose one for yours

Here is a decisive list of the considerations you should make before you find your tabby’s resting place.

·         Drowsiness

The cats are not very active creatures when something does not excite them. They would rather sit in a corner of the room and nod all day in a state of light sleep. So make sure that the cat bed is available to them all day and night.

·         Location

Even if you find the perfect place to put your cat’s bed that does not mean that it will agree with your cat’s plans. Understand that you might need to relocate the bed more than once before your cat actually likes where you have kept it.

·         Duration

Cats sleep on an average of 16 hours a day. That may be atrocious to you but it is actually normal in the cats’ world. They will have a knack to be lazy all the time unless there is something mildly interesting going on around them. When that happens you can’t get them to sleep even if want to.

·         Day time napping

Cats are nocturnal by nature. So all day they will be sleepy and drowsy but they will be more than active all night hunting across the neighborhood. Hence it is more than conceivable that they will be sleepy all day. So you can make sure that the bed will be occupied during the day.

·         Comfort

Cats are picky. They will not sleep in a bed they are not comfortable in. Hence you should definitely see that the bed is soft and easy for the cat to get used to. Once he gets used to this bed you will never have to worry about this again. They will go to their bed on their own.

·         Warmth

Cats are sensitive to the temperature when they sleep. Too cold or too warm will not be good enough for them. So once you see where your cat likes to nap you should make it a point to keep the bed there so that he can be in the temperature he or she is used to.

·         Security

Cats are very insecure and don’t trusts people that easily. That is why it is in their nature to be hidden while they sleep. So some beds come with coverings. If it suits your cat get one of these. They will be more comfortable this way.

·         Breakfast in bed

This is one of the funniest things about cats. They like to have their food just when they get out of bed. So keep their bowl close by when they wake up or they will be cranky.
